About Us

With over three decades of design experience, Martin Rubenstein, widely known by the monoamine, "Martin", has been wowing his loyal clientele with his innovative concepts and amazing flare for detail. Opening his home décor and interior design firm in downtown Richmond in 1977, owner/designer Martin Rubenstein moved 15 years later to his current Carytown location. Converting the old Baptist church at 3325 W. Cary Street has allowed for a unique retail situation sharing the open space with Karina's Hair Salon and Annette Dean Women's Clothing.

The eclectic style that Martin and his collaborative team bring to this traditional city is contemporary meets old world. This style is mirrored in our retail showroom where Martin pulls from when applying the final touches for his design projects. A variety of authentic artwork, an amazing collection of sumptuous candles, antique reproduction furniture and stunning lighting are just some of what you will discover at this Carytown favorite.

Whether in the retail showroom or the design studio, the Martin organization believes that teamwork is an important part of every successful business. We will work in a cohesive manner to go above and beyond in providing customers the very best. By focusing on you and your unique personality, we will use our expertise to help you achieve the home of your dreams. Transforming spaces to suit your needs and desires is our top priority.

Interior design is not just sofas, chairs and window treatments. We can assist you with all phases of your design project. Starting with construction drawings to final design implementation, we do it all! So please call or visit this "Carytown must see" for your design inspiration and information.

"True success depends on an excellent client-designer collaboration." - Martin
